Heavenly Socks Yarns

December 2007

The first Saturday of December is always devoted to Belfast's Early Bird Sales. Since we are not early birds, we will be offering a 20% discount all day. And to honor some of you early birds, we will open at 8 on Saturday morning.

Because Saturday may not be a convenient day for everybody, we are extending this Early Bird discount to Sunday, December 2. The 20% discount applies to your total purchase, including already discounted yarns!

If neither day works, look for great sales through 2008 in our discount section, as we try to reduce inventory for the new year.

Knitting Daily Yarn Spree Contest: This is from a reputable source (Interweave Press), just thought we'd pass it along. Click Knitting Daily Yarn Spree to enter. Provide your contact information and the name of your favorite local yarn shop, and you're entered to win a yarn spree in January 2008. First place is a $300 gift certificate, second $200 and third $100.
On Saturday, December 1, from 8 am to 3 pm, there will be a Christmas Craft Fair and Benefit 50/50 Raffle at the Belfast Boathouse. The raffle will benefit the WCAP transportation program, and you could win Christmas cash. Live craft demonstrations will be held during the fair, including beading on fabric, macrame and basketry. There will be 24 vendors of Maine-made arts and crafts, homemade baked goods and hourly door prizes.
Sarah Johnson Quilts (at the waterfront end of Belfast's Main Street) will have their First Anniversary Sale on Saturday, December 1. There will be 25% off all fat bolts, and you can receive a gift card with purchase.
